The Bangladesh-Turkey Friendship Hayat Hospital (BTFHH) is a landmark humanitarian and medical infrastructure initiative proposed for Chittagong. This 500-bed multi-specialty hospital will deliver world-class healthcare services to over 8 million citizens — with 150 beds dedicated entirely to free treatment for underprivileged patients, funded through a transparent Zakat mechanism.

📋 Land Requirements
Required Land Area
Minimum 300 Ganda (approx. 7.5 acres) of Khas (government-owned) land on a 99-year lease. The land must be adjacent to a major highway or main road for emergency access and patient transportation within the Golden Hour.
Land Donation Welcome
If you or your family own land near a highway in the Chittagong region and wish to contribute as Waqf/Sadaqah Jariyah, your name will be honoured permanently. You can also share land ownership for the project.
How It Works
Transparent governance based on Islamic principles with professional management
Hospital Management
Professional hospital management led by a Board of Trustees (Tier 1 Platinum Partners) with full voting rights. An independent CEO manages daily operations. The Advisory Board (Tier 2 Gold Members) provides strategic guidance. Quarterly public progress reports ensure transparency.
Zakat Board
A fully segregated Zakat fund managed by an independent audit committee under Shariah Supervisory Board oversight. 150 free beds are exclusively funded by Zakat — medicines, surgeries, diagnostics. Zakat funds are never cross-subsidized by patient revenue. All transactions are Shariah-certified and audited quarterly.
Waqf Board (Islamic Endowment)
Operates under Islamic Waqf principles — assets are permanently dedicated to Allah's service. Donors can dedicate beds (BDT 1 Lakh), cabins (BDT 10 Lakh), OTs (BDT 1 Crore), ICUs (BDT 1 Crore), or full floors (BDT 5 Crore) as Sadaqah Jariyah. All Waqf properties are irrevocable and governed by Shariah-certified scholars. Named in honour of donor or deceased loved ones — continuous reward until the Day of Judgement.
Government & TIKA Turkey
Government provides 300 Ganda Khas land on 99-year lease (precedent: Chittagong Heart Foundation received 23 acres free). TIKA (Turkish Cooperation Agency), active in Bangladesh since 2014, will provide advanced medical equipment (MRI, CT, OT), specialist training, and JCI consultancy. TIKA monitors equipment grants and training programme delivery.
Shariah Supervisory Board
An independent Shariah Supervisory Board comprised of certified Islamic scholars certifies ALL financial transactions. Every taka is sourced through Shariah-compliant channels. Separate audited accounts for Zakat fund, Waqf fund, and operational fund ensure complete transparency and Islamic compliance.

Community Vote
Both options share identical specifications — 500 beds, BDT 600 Crore, TIKA equipment, 150 free Zakat beds, Helipad, 24/7 Emergency. The community will decide the location.

Based on the community's preference, the project authority will decide the location. If a location leads significantly, the authority will either purchase land or submit an application to the government for Khas land allocation at that site.
